Hi, I'm Daniel Foster, the new marketing writer at TechSmith. And I'm a telecommuter (for now).
For the past month, I've been working from my home office in Bellingham, Washington—three time zones and 2,400 miles from TechSmith headquarters in Michigan. Time and distance...aren't those the obstacles that Camtasia Studio helps overcome?
Indeed. Last month, TechSmith held a big mid-year meeting to review company progress and look ahead to some very cool projects you'll be hearing about soon.
Because meeting organizers used Camtasia Studio to record each session, I was able to "be there" to see and hear some of the reports from various department heads. What a great way to feel a bit more connected with events back at the office.
Do you use Camtasia Studio to record meetings for those who can't attend? Try it...I bet your remote workers and road warriors will thank you! It's the next best thing to being there.
P.S. - The Camtasia Studio Total Recording Kit includes a lapel mic, webcam, and Camtasia Studio 4...everything you need to record and share a meeting with your people!

Sometimes editing audio can be challenging when it is locked with the video. By moving your audio track from track 1 to track 2, it allows you to make changes to your video without affecting the audio. By the same token, you can edit audio without affecting the video.
1. Open a saved Camtasia Studio project or put a clip on the timeline.
2. Save your audio. Choose File > Save Audio > Save as .WAV
3. Import the newly saved audio file to the clip bin.
4. Click and drag the audio file to your timeline.
5. Click on the padlock icon next to audio track 2 to lock its audio.
6. Highlight the entire timeline and click on the Replace with Silence button.
7. Enjoy more editing freedom!

| Expert's Corner: Jumping to a URL at the end of a video |

Just because a video ends doesn't mean interaction with your viewers has to.
Adding a "Jump to URL" command to the end of a video during production means that the viewer's experience continues with a Web site of your choice after the video has played.
To add a 'Jump to URL' action to the end of your video, it must be produced in a custom Flash format. Here's how...
1. After beginning the production process, select Custom production settings, and then Flash (SWF/FLV) as your file format.
2. On the Flash Templates page, click Flash Options... and select the Controls tab.
3. Under Flash Actions, select Jump to URL from the End Action options and enter the desired URL in the text box.
4. Click OK and continue to produce your video as normal.
5. When your produced video finishes playing, the selected URL will open in your viewer's Web browser.
