The recording can be authorized and uploaded later, from any computer on your network that's running Camtasia Relay.

For a 60-minute presentation, we recommend a portable drive with at least 2GB of storage space. For best results, use a USB 2.0 or Firewire (1394) device, formatted as FAT32. The same drive with the same set of files can be used to record from both Mac and PC. Recorder files for both platforms take up 30MB of available space on the portable drive.

Nothing is installed on the host computer, though Camtasia Relay does save recordings to a temporary location on the host computer before moving them to the portable drive.
