Camtasia Relay has two components, recorder and server, which work together seamlessly.

Recorder captures audio, on-screen activity, and keyboard/mouse input, and runs on Mac or PC.

Profiles

Ease administration time and effort with profiles. A single profile tells the server how to produce a recording and where to publish it.

The Camtasia Relay administrator can create any number of profiles and assign each one to any number of presenters, using a convenient web application. (Watch a 70-second video...)

Security + flexibility

Presenters can record offline, then log in and select a profile when they're back on the network. Guests can submit a recording for later approval by an authorized user.

Camtasia Relay server can produce a single recording into multiple video and audio formats, automatically! Choose from .mp4, .mp3, .wmv, .rm, .camrec, and .avi.

Use existing media servers

You won't need a new server to store recordings. Send produced recordings to your existing file server, any web or FTP server, iTunes U, Screencast.com…the list goes on.

Blackboard notifications

Give students access to all course materials in a single place. Camtasia Relay automatically adds a Blackboard announcement when your recording is published.

iTunes U integration

LDAP authentication

Don't worry about another set of user names and passwords! Camtasia Relay can automatically import users from LDAP, and even auto-assign common production profiles to all new users—simplifying system setup, keeping the cost of ownership low, and giving users a smooth experience.

Email notifications

Be in the know. Camtasia Relay sends email notifications to presenters when their recording has finished the production and publishing process. Administrators will receive system emails when the server needs attention.
