SnagIt Capture Profiles

Using Profiles in SnagIt to initiate a screen capture is a great way to save time and keep your favorite capture combinations within reach. With Profiles, instead of choosing your Input and Output each time you take a screen capture, SnagIt's Profiles remember your preferences – so you can capture even more quickly.

Although SnagIt enables you to create your own capture profiles... sometimes it's nice to have some help. That's why we are offering several additional Profiles free for you to download and use in your version of SnagIt. Each group of Profiles is setup differently, allowing you to pick which group fits you best.

How to Download and Install SnagIt Capture Profiles

To download and install these Profiles into your version of SnagIt, simply follow these instructions:

Option 1:

1. Click the download link associated with the group of Profiles.
2. When prompted to Open or Save, click Open. This will launch SnagIt, if it is not already open, and automatically install the new group of Profiles at the bottom of your current list of Profiles.

Option 2:

1. Click the download link associated with the group of Profiles.
2. When prompted to Open or Save, click Save. Save the file to your desired directory.
3. To get the downloaded profiles into SnagIt, you can either:
   • Open SnagIt from the File menu option, click Import Profiles. When prompted for the file, locate the downloaded Profile group and open it. The files will automatically load at the bottom of the SnagIt Profile list.
   • Locate the downloaded profile group. Next double-click on the Profile group. This will launch SnagIt if it is not open and it will automatically install the Profiles at the bottom of the SnagIt Profile list.

Image Capture Profiles

JPEG Basic Capture Profiles
Love that .JPG format? Well, the standard capture options all automatically output your captures to a .JPG file type. By making that file type the standard, you'll no longer have to constantly change the file type to .JPG before saving.
