Camtasia Studio 2.1 Available in German

New Add-In Turns Static PowerPoint Presentations Into Narrated Videos

Okemos, Michigan - February 23, 2005 - TechSmith Corp., the world's leading provider of screen capture and recording solutions, today announced that Camtasia Studio 2.1 is now available in German. Camtasia Studio's new PowerPoint add-in enables business people and educators to turn their static slides into Flash and streaming video with narration by recording existing or live presentations as they are happening.

"Camtasia Studio is a great resource for any individual or organization that wants to present or archive their PowerPoint presentations in an engaging rich media format," said Pia Bork, Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for PowerPoint.

Dieter Schiecke, Microsoft Community Leader/Influencer commented, "Executives, managers and others spend many hours creating effective presentations. It only makes sense to have this knowledge be eternal in video and voice so anyone at anytime can experience the PowerPoint as though they were receiving it from the presenter for the first time."

Camtasia Studio automatically synchronizes and indexes all audio content with the appropriate slide so viewers can easily navigate presentations. In addition to Flash and streaming video, Camtasia Studio supports many common publishing formats so organizations can select the output type that's appropriate for their audiences. The output can be viewed on the Internet, via CD-ROM and DVD, or as part of SCORM-compliant Learning Management Systems.

"I'm so happy there's a simple way to create anything from Flash movies to video files to streaming media from PowerPoint," said Geetesh Bajaj, Microsoft PowerPoint MVP. "Camtasia Studio is the only tool that actually preserves the richness of the presentation as it is given. With Camtasia Studio, it's easy to record, edit and share what's most important to any presentation -- the words, inflection, and tone that grab an audience’s attention."

System Requirements and Availability
Camtasia Studio 2.1 supports Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP with DirectX 9.0 or later. Camtasia Studio 2.1 is available immediately with a suggested retail price of US$299. The software can be purchased at www.techsmith.com or from a TechSmith reseller at www.techsmith.com/order/intlresellers.asp. Free trial licenses are also available at de.techsmith.com.
