TechSmith’s Camtasia Studio Wins Prestigious Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Award

Okemos, Michigan - March 20, 2006 - TechSmith Corp., the world’s leading provider of screen capture and recording solutions, today announced that Camtasia Studio has received a Software Development Jolt Product Excellence Award in the software utility category. Editors of Dr. Dobb’s Journal announced the winners of the 16th annual awards, which were presented at the SD West 2006 Conference & Exposition.

Rosalyn Lum, technical editor at Dr. Dobb's Journal, said there were an unprecedented number of nominations for this year’s awards. She noted that the judges were particularly impressed with Camtasia Studio, “The judges loved this very polished and professional product for producing tutorials and other high-quality animated presentations.”

The Software Development Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards are presented each year to showcase products that have "jolted" the industry with their significance and made the task of creating software faster, easier, and more efficient. The nominees this year were a who’s who of the world’s largest and most successful software providers.
