TechSmith and Sigma Co-exhibiting at the Times Education Supplement Education Show 2007

Screen Capture Software Vendor Demonstrates Capabilities for Teachers in eLearning and Distance Learning – Stand C3

London, 12th September 07 - TechSmith, the leader in screen capture and recording software, today announces its attendance at the Times Education Supplement (TES) Education Show 2007. TES Education is London’s newest education event, specifically targeting educators from early years, primary and secondary settings. TES Education 2007 is being held at the National Hall, Olympia on 28th & 29th September.

Represented by TechSmith’s UK distributor Sigma Software Distribution, the TechSmith stand will feature demonstrations of the Camtasia Studio Screen Recorder software. Using Camtasia Studio, teachers are able to create professional recordings of PowerPoint presentations and combine them with an audio track or even digital video to guide students through the presentation. It is also the ideal method for demonstrating complex functions of software to IT students, as teachers can record and play back every movement on the screen right down to a simple mouse click.

Any videos created can also be hosted online, downloaded to a CD, DVD or even an iPod, allowing students access to lessons wherever they are. If a teacher records his or her lesson live, at the front of the class room, then students who were unable to attend on the day can benefit from an almost identical experience as those who did attend. In addition, lessons uploaded throughout the year provide a great revision resource when the time comes for end of year exams.

The Camtasia Studio software demonstrations will also show how students can develop their own video and audio editing skills. The easy-to-use nature of the software means students can learn how to capture and edit their own videos, gaining audio and visual editing skills.

During the exhibition, TechSmith will be running a free draw to win an Apple video iPod - visitors to the stand simply need to sign up for their chance to win.
