TechSmith Continues To Expand Global Operations

Opens New Offices in Japan

LANSING, Mich. -- April 29, 2009 - TechSmith Corporation, the world’s leading provider of screen capture and recording software for individual and professional use, announced today it has opened an office in Japan to increase marketing and sales activities globally.

“We’re very pleased to be working toward strengthening our connection with this market by opening this new office,” said Bill Hamilton, president and founder of TechSmith. “This will help us further our two-way communication with our customers and partners so that we can continue to develop products that meet our customers’ needs and expectations in the Japanese market.”

TechSmith’s product portfolio of software for capturing, recording, editing, and sharing what you see on your computer screen allows business professionals to market, educate, train and sell their products and services more effectively. TechSmith’s products include Snagit, Camtasia Studio, Camtasia Relay, Jing, Morae, and Screencast.com. According to Mr. Hamilton the company’s main focus for the new Japan-based office is to increase its sales and overall presence in the Asian market. TechSmith’s Japanese office will engage in sales and marketing activities in Japan along with their network of resellers, alliance partners, and industry contacts that will help to further extend their reach.

In addition to Japan, TechSmith actively promotes and markets its products throughout key markets such as the United States, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Korea. The company’s products are sold in 180 countries through online direct download from its website and through a network of distributors and reseller partners in more than 50 countries.

In conjunction with the opening of TechSmith’s new Japanese office, the company has also released its Japanese version of Camtasia Studio 6. Camtasia Studio 6 allows customers to create professional and engaging presentations, demonstrations and marketing videos in HD-quality video to reach audiences online, on portable media devices, or on popular online video sharing sites.
