Camtasia Studio 4 Tutorial: Add Titles and Transitions

Create and place Title Clips at the beginning, end, or between any two clips on the Timeline. Title Clips are a great way to prepare your audience for the topic that they are about to be presented. Transitions allow you to set specific entry effects that will transition one clip to another in your produced video.

The Title Clips link is located under the Add section of the Task List pane. Click the Title Clips link and a new window will open within Camtasia Studio. Follow these steps to create a Title Clip for your project.

  1. Enter a unique Title Name in the Properties section, or leave the default name that is present.
  2. Choose a background color or image for your Title Clip.
  3. Enter the text you would like for your Title Clip and format as desired using the tools present. You will see a preview of your Title Clip within the Preview Window.
  4. When finished, click OK and your Title Clip will be added to your Clip Bin and can be moved to the Timeline. (At any time you can click the Cancel button to close this window and return to the main interface without saving changes.)
