Note: If you make a mistake when cutting your video, use the Undo Arrow
For those of you who like shortcuts, simply right-clicking on the area you selected in the Timeline will give you the option to Cut Selection.
The menu option Edit > Cut Selection is also available; and the default hotkey is Ctrl + X on your keyboard.
Splitting Your Video into Multiple ClipsSplitting your video clips allows you to insert other types of media between the two clips. You can also use Splitting as a way to delete parts of your video from the Timeline.
A Quick Tip: Using Zoom to Expand the TimelineIf you need to make a cut or split in an area on your Timeline that is difficult to see, try the Zoom-in Icon on the Timeline toolbar to help locate that specific area.
