Custom Scale

The Custom Scale options allow you to easily change the overall size of an image to any size necessary. Once you choose Image > Scale > Custom Scale, the Scale dialog box displays. You can also access this dialog box prior to capture by choosing Filters > Image Scaling > Custom Scale.
The following table summarizes the description and use of each of the Scale options.

Scale by percentage of original
|
Use this option to select the percentage Width and Height of the original image. Width and Height percentage change together to keep aspect ratio.
To change the aspect ratio, disable the Keep aspect ratio option at the bottom of the dialog box.

Scale to width and height
|
Use this option to set the absolute width and height in pixels.
|
|
Scale to width
|
Use this option to select a width for the last scaled image.
|
|
Scale to height
|
Use this option to select a height for the last scaled image.
|
|
OK
|
Choose OK to save changes and exit this dialog box.
|
|
Cancel
|
Choose Cancel to exit this dialog box without saving changes.
|
|
Default
|
Choose Default to restore the options back to their original settings.
|
|
Help
|
Choose Help to access the online help system.
|
|
Keep aspect ratio
|
Enable this option to keep the image aspect ratio fixed while changing the width or height. When setting dimensions, the numbers for width and height change interactively to keep aspect.

|
Final Image Size
|
This read-only field lets you know the final size of your image.
