Apply a Watermark Filter
| Product: | SnagIt |
| Platform: | Win 98 and above |
| Version: | 7 and above |
Use the Watermark options to add a watermark in a fixed location in the graphic capture and to add other features such as titles and banner ads. Graphic files in .BMP, .GIF, or .JPG format can be used as watermarks.
The image or text file you use as a watermark can be overlain or underlain, and embossed, as shown in the figure below. The watermark can also be made transparent as an overlay, or not. Experiment to discover the variety of creative ways you can use the Watermark effect.
Note: Choose the Preview button in the Watermark dialog box to preview your choices before applying the effect to your capture.
SnagIt gives you the option of creating a customized Watermark capture filter. This is a quick way to create the exact Watermark filter that you need for your captures.
Within SnagIt, choose the Filters button, and then choose Watermark. The Watermark dialog box will display.
Choose Enable Watermark, and then use the options in the dialog box to create your Watermark filter.
Choose OK when you are finished.
You will be back at the main SnagIt view. Set your Input and Output capture options.
Choose the Preview Window option from the Options toolbar.
Click on the Capture button to invoke capture.
Once the capture is taken, it will be displayed within the Preview Window with the customized Watermark filter applied to it.
Choose Finish to send your capture to the output source. Choose Cancel to delete the capture.
Tip: Once you have taken a capture and viewed it with the Preview Window to ensure that it is the exact filter that you desire; you can always disable the Preview Window option so you no longer have to view the capture in the Preview Window each time you take a capture.
Note: To disable a Watermark filter, click the Filters button, and then choose Watermark. Within the Watermark dialog box, remove the checkmark from the Enable Watermark option.
