We're not interested in building software that you simply tolerate...or even kinda like. We want to flat-out delight you with tools that help you be awesome at what you do.
As you know, usability studies are one method for boosting the delight factor. By watching people use our software to do specific tasks we understand better what's causing joy and frustration. |

|
If you would like to participate in software usability studies for TechSmith, please complete this survey. By providing some background about yourself, you'll help our user experience team put together well-rounded studies.
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on how many TechSmith products you use. There's a survey for Mac users, too!
As usability professionals, I know this is right up your alley but, we recognize that your time is valuable, so if you're selected to participate in a study you'll receive some compensation.
Sign up for usability studies now.

| News: Remote usability testing made easy with UserVue |

As usability professionals, you know the value of good feedback. UserVue allows you to get that feedback from real customers, in real situations. Not only are you eliminating the travel costs associated with traditional usability testing, but you are conducting studies with people on their own turf.
"Since I was testing 22 people, it would be unrealistic for me to travel to test all the clients. Remote usability testing offers convenience, speed, and cost savings that lab testing can't provide," - David Teller, project leader at a usability testing services group.
What is UserVue?
It's pretty simple, really. UserVue is a web-based solution which allows you to connect to, communicate with, and record users remotely. Like Morae, UserVue has three components, for the different people who are part of the study. With UserVue, we call them facilitator, participant, and observer.
How does it work?
The facilitator logs into UserVue and sets up the study session, inputting the date, time, email addresses for the participant and the observers, and the website being studied (if applicable).
UserVue automatically sends an email to the participant and observers, inviting them to the session.
Each party joins the session by clicking the link in the automated email, UserVue connects each party via phone and chat and records all the activity on the participants screen.
Using the integrated phone and chat, the facilitator can communicate with both the participant and observers for the duration of the session.
Upon completion of the session, UserVue creates three different files:
- A CSV file containing all your markers along with any associated notes.
- A WMV with the recording of everything the Participant did during the session as well as all of your markers.
- An RDG so you can import your study into Morae Manager to calculate metrics, create highlight videos and more.
That's the quick overview. For a full product tour or to try UserVue free, check out our website.
