Global Demand for Effective Visual Learning Solutions Drives Global 500 Customer Acquisition and Organic Growth for Michigan-based Technology Company
OKEMOS, Mich – September 22, 2010 – TechSmith Corp., the world’s leading provider of screen capture and screen recording, today announced strong worldwide growth through the first half of 2010. TechSmith’s global sales increased 25 percent for the January through July period compared with the same period last year, driven by global demand for effective visual learning solutions across the education and business sectors. The company witnessed strong growth of more than 40 percent in top international markets including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan — which continues to generate strong return on the opening of TechSmith’s Japanese office in April of last year.
“The global marketplace presents a significant opportunity for company growth as more than 160 countries continue to express demand for collaborative learning and training solutions,” said Bill Hamilton, President of TechSmith. “TechSmith’s easy-to-use, visual solutions translate across borders and cultures. We’re continuing to redefine how people capture, share and collaborate with customers, friends, students and colleagues in the digital age.”
Over the past six months, launches of TechSmith’s Snagit10 (screen capture & editing) and TechSmith’s Camtasia Studio 7 (video and presentation capture & editing) captivated millions of new and existing users worldwide.
