Produce a Video for an iPod, iPhone, or iTunes
Produce with a Preset
- In the Project Settings dialog box, select the iPod or iPhone preset from the dropdown. The Preview Window shows what the video will look like produced using that preset.
- Edit the video.
- In the Task List, select Produce video as.
- The Production Wizard appears. The preset selected in the Project Settings dialog is automatically selected. Click Next.
- Enter a name and file location and click Next.
- Click Finish.
The video begins rendering and saves to the selected location.
Produce with Custom Settings
iPod is a portable media player designed and marketed by Apple Computer. Select the .m4v option to create a video specifically formatted to play on a video-capable iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, or within iTunes.
To improve viewing on smaller resolutions, such as on an iPod or an iPhone, apply SmartFocus or add Zoom-n-Pan keyframes to the Timeline.
- In the Task List, select Produce video as.
- The Production Wizard appears. Select Custom production settings from the dropdown and click Next.
- Select the M4V-iPod, iPhone, iTunes compatible video option and click Next.
- Select the bandwidth and dimensions for the video and click Next.
- Select 320 x 240 dimensions for playback on an iPod or in iTunes.
- Select iPhone (480 x 320) for playback on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or in iTunes.
- On the Produce Video screen, select the file save, post production, and upload options.
- Click Finish.
The video begins rendering.
