Use Snagit for Feedback or Grading

Use the various drawing tools in Snagit Editor for giving feedback on documents, mockups, etc.

Add Callouts or Text for Notes

Use calllouts to point to or give feedback on specific items.

1. Select the Callout tool on the Tools tab. 
    
2. Click to select a callout from the style gallery or adjust the Properties to create your own callout style. 
    
3. Click and drag on the canvas to add the callout.
4. To flip the callout, select Arrange > Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical.
5. Move the tail around the callout to point to the area to comment on. To add another callout tail, Control-click on the callout and select Add Tail.
6. Enter the comment text into the callout. 
    
7. To move the callout, click and drag within the callout. 
    
8. To resize the callout, click to select the callout and drag a handle.
    

Tips:

• Save the callout settings to maintain a consistent look for all comments.
• Change the callout style for each reviewer or to differentiate between types of feedback.

Cross out Text

1. Select the Line tool on the Tools tab.
    
2. Select the red line style from the gallery.
3. Click and drag across the area to strike out.
    

Add a Frame to Highlight

1. Select the Shape tool on the Tools tab.
    
2. Select the frame from the gallery.
3. Edit the desired Properties such as the line width and color.
4. Click and drag around the area to highlight on the canvas. 
    

Highlight a Section

1. Select the Highlighter tool on the Tools tab.
    
2. Select a highlighter color from the gallery or edit the color in the Properties.
3. Click and drag across the area to highlight. 
    

Arrows

Use arrows to show where to move a section in a document.

1. Select the Arrow tool on the Tools tab. 
    
2. Click to select a style from the style gallery or adjust the Properties to create your own arrow style.
3. Click and drag on the canvas to add the arrow.
4. To add a curve to the arrow, click and drag the yellow center point.
    

Use Screencast.com Commenting for Feedback

1. Click the More Outputs button.
2. Click the Output Preferences button.
    
3. Click the Screencast.com output.
4. Enter your account settings and select the Allow Commenting on Screencast.com option.
5. Close the Output Preferences dialog.
6. Click the Screencast.com Output button to share your capture.
7. Copy the Screencast.com URL into an instant message or email to share with your reviewers. Instruct your reviewers to enter comments on the bottom of the webpage.
