Video Enhancement Types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Type<\/th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
Animations<\/td>Animations add interesting focal points to your video such as:
Annotations and Text<\/td>Graphics or text overlaid on a video to draw viewers’ attention to important objects or processes. To learn more about editing annotations, see Edit Enhancements<\/a>.
Behaviors<\/td>Behaviors are animated presets to drag and drop on text and media to liven it up and engage your viewers. Apply behaviors to any visual object on the timeline.

These might include:
Cursor Effects<\/td>Camtasia Recorder collects and stores cursor data in the TREC recording file. Add cursor effects to enhance or edit the cursor in your recording.
Transitions<\/td>Transitions add a visual effect between the end of a clip and the beginning of the next clip. Use transitions to indicate the passage of time, change in location, or to create a smooth flow between clips.<\/td><\/tr>
Visual Effects<\/td>Visual effects can improve the look and quality of your video. Apply an effect to an entire clip or adjust the duration to a portion of a clip.
Gesture Effects (Mac only)<\/td>Gesture effects add visual effects that simulate taps, swipes, and pinches on mobile devices. See Record iOS Devices<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Add an Enhancement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click an enhancement tab, such as the Annotations tab or Behaviors tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select an enhancement from the subtabs or dropdowns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Drag the enhancement onto the timeline. For some enhancements, Camtasia highlights where the selection can be applied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Animations<\/td>Click to select the animation arrow to edit. The selected animation arrow turns yellow.
    • Change duration:<\/strong> Drag the end of the animation in either direction.

    • Restore:<\/strong> Drag the Restore<\/strong> animation onto a clip after another animation to reverse the previous animation to its previous state.

    • Resize:<\/strong> Click and drag a handle in any direction.<\/li>
    • Rotate:<\/strong> Click and drag the center handle.<\/li>
