The Media<\/strong> tab helps you organize and assemble content for your video. You can import media from your computer, manage media in the project, search our royalty-free assets, or use any custom assets saved to your library.

To add content to your video, continue with the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add Media to Your Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Media Bin contains any media you record or add to your current video project. Select any of the following options to add content into the Media Bin to use in your video: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nImport Media from Your Computer<\/strong><\/summary>\n
  1. Click the Media<\/b> tab.<\/li>\n
  2. Click \"Add > Import Media<\/b> or double-click in the Media Bin.<\/li>\n
  3. Click to select the media to import. Control+click<\/b> (Windows) or Command+click<\/b> (Mac) to select multiple files.<\/li>\n
  4. Click Open<\/b> (Windows) or Import<\/b> (Mac).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The imported media appears in the Media Bin.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

    \nImport Media from a Mobile Device<\/strong><\/summary>\n

    Send images or videos to Camtasia Editor from your mobile device.<\/p>\n

    1. Select File > Connect to Mobile Device<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    2. Follow the onscreen instructions in the Connect Mobile Device dialog.<\/li><\/ol>\n

      The imported media appears in the Media Bin. See Record an iOS Demo or Tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

      \nRecord Voice Narration<\/strong><\/summary>\n

      \nImport Media from Snagit<\/strong><\/summary>\n

      If you use Snagit<\/a> to take screenshots or record video, share your Snagit captures to Camtasia Editor to include in video projects.<\/p>\n

      Note:<\/b> Videos shared from Snagit Editor are sent as .mp4 files. For more editing flexibility, such as cursor editing and applying Rev layouts, see Open Snagit Video in Camtasia Editor<\/b> below.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      1. In Snagit Editor, click to select an image or video in the recent captures tray. Control+click<\/strong> (Windows) or Command+click<\/strong> (Mac) to select multiple items.<\/li>\n
      2. Click the Share Link<\/strong> dropdown or Share<\/strong> dropdown and select Camtasia Editor<\/strong>.

        Snagit sends the selected media to the Media Bin in a new or open Camtasia project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Tip: Send images back to Snagit for editing.<\/p>\n\t

        To continue editing an image in Snagit, right-click an image in the Media Bin and select the Edit in Snagit<\/strong> option. After editing, click Send<\/strong> (Windows) or Finish<\/strong> (Mac) to udpate the image in your Camtasia project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

        \nOpen Snagit Video in Camtasia Editor (Mac only)<\/strong><\/summary>\n

        Regular users of Snagit<\/a> may prefer to record with Snagit Capture, then open the video in Camtasia Editor for more flexible editing.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. In Snagit Capture, select the Video<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
        2. In the Open In<\/strong> dropdown, select Camtasia Editor<\/strong>.

        3. Select other options and complete the video recording. See Record a Video with Snagit<\/a>.<\/li>\n
        4. After recording, the video opens in Camtasia Rev. Select the desired layout and effects. See Introduction to Rev Media<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The recording is added as a .trec to the Media Bin and as Rev media on the timeline.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

          To include the media in your video, select Media tab > Media Bin subtab<\/strong>. Drag the media onto the desired location on the timeline or canvas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
