Auto-Generate Captions (Screencast Pro)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Screencast Pro accounts<\/a>, captions are automatically generated based on the audio transcription for any videos uploaded to Screencast (English only).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your viewers can click the CC<\/strong> button to view the closed captions.

Viewers can also click the Transcript<\/strong> tab on the Comments pane to view the transcript.

Generate Captions for Previously Uploaded Videos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can automatically generate captions for videos you uploaded to Screencast prior to having Screencast Pro or before this feature was available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the video from your library. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. On the Settings<\/strong> tab, click the \"Plus Add Caption Track<\/strong> button.

  3. Select the Speech-to-Text<\/strong> option. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The captions status changes from Transcribing to Published when ready.

    Note:<\/strong> To stop auto-generating captions for new video uploads, click \"Settings in the upper-right corner > Settings ><\/strong> turn off Generate captions after upload<\/strong> toggle. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Edit Captions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Complete the following to edit your published captions, including auto-generated captions (Screencast Pro<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open your video and select the Settings <\/strong>tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click the \"Edit Edit <\/strong>button.

    3. The Caption Editor opens. Click Play<\/strong> to review the captions or drag the timeline left or right to scrub through the video. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
