Screen reader compatibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interactive elements such as buttons and links in Camtasia include alt text for screen reader access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keyboard navigation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Camtasia can be navigated using the Tab<\/strong> (forward) and Shift+Tab<\/strong> (backward) buttons as well as the arrow keys<\/strong>. As you navigate, items will also have visible focus showing where in the interface you are currently located. Keyboard navigation for editing functions is currently a work in progress, so you may run into challenges editing your projects using a keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camtasia provides hotkeys you can use to make navigation and editing easier, and you can also assign your own preset shortcuts for certain functions. For a complete list of shortcuts, refer to the Camtasia Shortcuts guide<\/a>, and for information on how to set your own shortcuts refer to the Customize Shortcuts tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. After opening Camtasia, use the Tab<\/strong> key to navigate to \u201cNew Recording,\u201d or press \u201cR.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Use the toggle buttons to turn on or off your screen recording, camera, microphone, or system audio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Use the Tab<\/strong> key to navigate to the \u201cStart Recording\u201d button, and press Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Press F10<\/strong> (Windows) or Command+Option+2<\/strong> (Mac) to stop recording once you\u2019re ready.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Once the recording is open in Camtasia Rev, use the Tab<\/strong> key to navigate to \u201cExport\u201d and press Enter <\/strong>to open the dropdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Use the arrow keys<\/strong> to move through the dropdown until you get to \u201cScreencast,\u201d then press Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Screen magnification and font size adjustment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Camtasia supports screen magnification with DPI scaling settings. Text size can also be adjusted via your operating system\u2019s scale settings or your monitor\u2019s DPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Color, contrast, and brightness<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Camtasia offers both a light mode and a dark mode, giving you flexibility with brightness when using the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
