TechSmith User Design Initiative (TUDI)
We know that "usage reporting" may cause some concern so we want to let you know what we are asking for and why. Most importantly, we are not interested in how YOU are using TechSmith products; we're interested in how everyone uses TechSmith products. To find out, we don't need to know anything personal about you, just the big picture. All we ask is that you keep using our products how you always have. TUDI will run in the background, you won't even know it's there.
What is TUDI?
The TechSmith User Design Initiative (TUDI) is the perfect opportunity for you to help us improve TechSmith products. If you choose to participate, we will collect anonymous information about your hardware configuration and how you use TechSmith products. This will allow us to determine the overall health of TechSmith products and customer engagement.
How will TechSmith use the information that is collected?
The information will be used as a guide during development. This data will allow us to look at how people are actually using our products and be of great help to guide decision making.
What information is collected?
We want to know how you are using TechSmith products. We don't want anything personal, like your name, address, phone number, or even images or file names. Here are some examples of what we collect information about:
- System hardware and OS
- Screen capture usage
- Editing and sharing usage
- Video capture and editing usage
- Opening and quitting frequency
- Product version
- Operating system
- Production formats
- Editor feature usage
- Recorder feature usage
How will this affect me if I choose to participate?
It won't. You just go on using TechSmith products like you always have.
Can I opt out?
Absolutely, you can opt out at any time.
