Capturing Using Hotkeys

Hotkeys provide keyboard shortcuts for common tasks. Some applications lose focus or disappear when you click away or move your cursor on the screen. To capture the active window, use Snagit's hotkeys.

Hotkeys also allow you to:

  • Quickly switch between commonly-used profiles.
  • Maintain the cursor's position on the screen.
  • Take captures without interacting with the Snagit interface.

Customize Capture and Profile Hotkeys

You can assign unique hotkeys for each profile. This allows you to select a specific profile and start a capture without having to open Snagit. This is useful if you frequently switch between profiles. The default hotkey is PRINT SCREEN.

  • To customize the hotkey for a profile in OneClick, click within the Hotkey field for the desired profile in the Profiles list. Press the key combination for the hotkey on the keyboard.
