Learn how to take an image capture of anything on your screen including a region, a window, a scrolling area, and the cursor, using the All-in-One Capture® mode.

Capture a Region:

  1. Click the Image Capture button.

  2. Click the Capture button or press the All-in-One Image Capture keyboard shortcut, Shift-Control-C (default).

  3. Click and drag on the screen with the crosshairs to select a region. Press M to turn on the magnifier for pixel-perfect accuracy.

Capture a Window:

  1. Click the Image Capture button.

  2. Click the Capture button or press the All-in-One Image Capture keyboard shortcut, Shift-Control-C (default).

  3. Move the cursor over the window to capture.
  4. An orange dashed border appears around the window. Click to select the window.

Capture a Scrolling Area: 

  1. Click the Image Capture button.

  2. Click the Capture button or press the All-in-One Image Capture keyboard shortcut, Shift-Control-C (default).

  3. Hover your cursor over the window to capture. If Snagit can capture the scrolling area, arrows appear within the window.
  4. Click an arrow to take a capture of the horizonal scrolling area, vertical scrolling area, or the entire scrolling area.

    Or, use a keyboard shortcut:
    • Press R to scroll horizontally.
    • Press D to scroll vertically.
    • Press X to scroll the entire area.

Capture the Entire Screen:

  1. Click the Image Capture button.

  2. Click the Capture button or press the All-in-One Image Capture keyboard shortcut, Shift-Control-C (default).

  3. Move the cursor until an orange border appears around the entire screen. Click to capture.
