TechSmith Corporation, the leading provider of screen capture and video editing tools for creating better training, tutorials, lessons, and everyday communication, today announced its screen recording and editing tool Camtasia, has been selected as winner of the “Employee Training Solution of the Year” award in the 2021 RemoteTech Breakthrough Awards conducted by RemoteTech Breakthrough. RemoteTech Breakthrough is a leading independent market intelligence organization that evaluates and recognizes standout technology companies, products, and services empowering remote work and distributed teams around the globe. In 2020, TechSmith Corporation was also the winner of the “Overall Remote Employee IT Support Solution of the Year” in RemoteTech Breakthrough’s Award Program.

For more than 30 years, TechSmith has offered customers a unique set of tools that make creating online teaching and training content, such as narrated screencasts and video clips that show how to use an organization’s standard programs, easier than ever. By providing staff with asynchronous video training, employees can re-watch training content when they need a refresher, and supervisors save time by minimizing training sessions as well as utilizing the ability to reach employees outside their local time zone.

With TechSmith Camtasia, users can easily record anything on their screens, including websites, software, and video calls, and import other video clips. Drag-and-drop effects can then be added to highlight important information and add polish and professionalism to videos to keep viewers engaged. Employees will easily be able to see firsthand what they are being taught. Users can also integrate tools such as PowerPoint directly into videos or import slides directly into Camtasia, making it easier to repurpose already existing content into engaging video training.

Camtasia also gives users the power to record and edit audio clips to eliminate background noise and awkward pauses. Camtasia 2021 has an Emphasize Audio Effect feature to ensure the trainer’s voice is crystal clear. Additionally, users can add closed captions directly to recordings to ensure that training videos are accessible to all viewers.

With Camtasia, quizzes and interactivity can be added to video content encourage and measure learning.

“Congratulations to TechSmith, once again this year — this time for their Camtasia solution on winning our ‘Employee Training Solution of the Year’ award,” said Bryan Vaughn, Managing Director of RemoteTech Breakthrough Awards. “Training employees and teaching new skills can be difficult, especially when many workplaces have transitioned to a fully or partially remote environment. With its affordable screen recording and video editing capability, Camtasia has proved itself to be invaluable to a remote employee’s toolbox.”

The mission of the annual RemoteTech Breakthrough Awards program is to conduct the industry’s most comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the top technology companies, solutions, and products in the remote technology industry today. This year’s program attracted more than 1,450 nominations from over 15 different countries throughout the world.
