TechSmith Capture is available in the iTunes store and will record the screen on any Apple device running iOS 11 and later.
Once installed, open Capture and login using your TechSmith ID. If you don’t have a TechSmith ID, create one by typing in an email address and password.
Open the Settings app on your device.
Choose Control Center > Customize Controls
Scroll down and click the plus sign next to Screen Recording.
When finished, Screen Recording will appear under the section titled “Include.”
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and press deeply on the screen recording button. Then select TechSmith Capture. Tap the microphone button if you would like to record your voice. When you’re ready to start the recording, tap Start Broadcast.
Close the the Control Center and walk through the process you want to record.
When you want to stop recording, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and tap the Screen Recording button. The recording is saved and ready to share with TechSmith Capture.
When you open TechSmith Capture, you'll see a list all of your recordings in the order you took them. Tap to preview a recording and when you're ready to share, tap the share icon. Choose whether you’d like to send it to Camtasia, Snagit, or one of the outputs provided by iOS.
To share to Snagit (or Camtasia) first make sure your mobile device and computer are connected to the same network. Then, open Snagit on your computer, and select File > Connect Mobile Device. Point the Scanner in Motion at the QR code in Snagit, and the video you selected is sent directly to your Snagit tray.
