| Unsilence Audio Selection The text appears white when audio is silenced. Make a selection and use the shortcut to unsilence the audio. | Control+U | Command+U |
| Custom Word Open the Custom Word dialog to edit the selected word or phrase. You may want to edit the word if the transcription is incorrect or for precise caption text. | Control+D | Command+D |
| Insert Silence Before Add 0.5 seconds of silence before your current selection. To add a different amount of silence before your selection, drag the selection to the right in the Waveform Editor. | Control+comma | Command+comma |
