To download an asset, navigate to library.techsmith.com and sign in with your TechSmith account. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create one before you can start.
Once you’re signed in, hover over media to preview them. When you find something you like, there are two ways to get it into your project. Click the Camtasia icon to bring it directly into your Camtasia library or click Download File to download it to your computer and import it into Camtasia.
If you need more help with the download process, check out the Download TechSmith Assets for Camtasia help article.
*Premium assets require a subscription to download.
To use an asset in a project, drag it to the canvas or timeline. To learn more about how to use the Camtasia Library, check out the tutorial Speed Up Video Creation With the Camtasia Library.
After downloading an asset, find it on your computer by navigating to your downloads folder.
If you’re on a Mac, navigate to Finder, click Go, then Downloads.
If you’re on Windows, navigate to This PC, then Downloads.
The file you downloaded will either be a .libzip file, which is a collection of media specifically designed for Camtasia, or a single media file, such as an MP4 video, JPG image, or MP3 audio.
To add a .libzip file to your Library, double click the file, then choose a specific Library for the asset.
To add a single piece of media to the Camtasia Library, such as an MP4 video, choose File > Library > Import Media to Library, select the file, click open, then choose a destination.
