Camtasia Studio 5 Tutorial: Embed an ExpressShow (SWF or FLV) on a Web Page

To embed an ExpressShow (SWF or FLV) into a Web page, you need to produce a Flash (SWF or FLV) video using an ExpressShow template and enable the Embed Video into HTML option on the Video Options page.

To Embed the ExpressShow (SWF or FLV) on a Web Page

  1. Open the source code for the .html file by completing any of the following:
    • Open the .html file in an HTML editor, such as Adobe Dreamweaver.
    • Right-click the .html file and choose Open With > Notepad.
    • Double-click the .html file. In an web browser, select the view source option. In Mozilla FireFox, choose View > Page Source. In Internet Explorer 7, choose Page > View Source.
  2. Copy the following highlight lines of code from the .html file and paste the code under the <head> tag on your Web page.

    Code, "<script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
  3. Copy the following highlighted code and paste it into the body of your Web page where you want to embed the video:

  4. Copy the following files into your Web page's directory:
    • For ExpressShow SWF, custom.htm, swfobject.js, and example.swf files.
    • For ExpressShow FLV, custom.htm, .swfobject.js, example_controller.swfand example.flv files.

If the viewer has the required version of Flash Player installed, the embedded video displays within the Web page.
